Loved our time here! Spent 2 nights in room #19. You can tell the owners really thought out every detail which we appreciated. They have videos of the rooms on their website so you can make an informed decision, no surprises. The location is INCREDIBLE. Extremely beautiful with the plants everywhere and the view cannot be beat! All the staff were very friendly and helpful and just so on point! You speak with reception for the kayak, and by the time you walk to the water, another staff is ready with your equipment! Everyone was so dedicated for making sure you had an excellent experience. Food was expensive, and I would suggest making the 10 min walk to Indigo and having much cheaper breakfast/lunch. The hotel food was good as well - we really enjoyed the shrimp pasta and the burger. Would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely incredible property, and their attention to details is impeccable! Stayed here for 3 nights, and loved every minute. The views of the lakes and mountains are unbelievable, and the place itself is very pretty. The property is on a cliff, so be prepared to climb a lot of steps. Food options are limited, but mostly good and the service was top notch. We had our Christmas dinner here (family style), and enjoyed our conversations with the other guests and travelers. We stayed in Room 16, which is higher up. However, it had spectacular views from the room and the patio outside. Highly recommend a stay here!

Firstly the staff were nice, friendly and accommodating. So we had an upper suite (room 11) which meant it frequently stank of septic ruining any enjoyment of our deck area which was frustrating because the view was phenomenal. Honestly one of the most beautiful lakes we have ever been to. The grounds were stunning with great reading nooks and it was fun to get lost trying to get places. Food was also excellent, not a bad meal was had. The kayak and hot tub both cost extra, which was a surprise.

I came in with my elderly mother and bought the day pass, as the advertisement for using swimming area and facilities seemed a good deal. The landscaping and gardening is just superb, however, there are limited hammock areas for day guests. My biggest problem with using the facilities is the swimming area is so dangerous! There are a few small signs warning the rocks are slippery but that’s it. There are stairs going into the water, which is nice, but I was afraid I was going to fall and bash my head my head in and I’m a nimble person. I had to sit on my butt and inch my way into the water, and when I came out I was pretty much crawling up the steps on my belly like a seal. I don’t understand why there are not any handrails for guests who may need a little extra help with stability. I can see the day coming when a kid or older person, or anybody really, is going to break their neck on those steps. There are wonderful handrails on the other stairs around the property, please put some in at the swimming area and make this hotel a safer space! Also, if you just want to eat at the rather expensive restaurant, seriously had US prices for the same things you can get for a quarter of the price in a Jaibalito restaurant, they also require a day pass if you are not a guest. That is incredibly silly. I’ve never heard of a restaurant in a hotel around Atitlan telling people they have to pay extra for the privilege to eat there.
